This completes a regular home time request event.  It is important that all home time requests be put in so that if a driver extends their home time it can be monitored accurately.

Extended Home Time

To enter extended home time on a driver you will enter a new driver status event.  The event dates should begin on the day the driver was supposed to come out from home time and end after the driver actually returns to work from this extended home time.

In our example above the driver has event dates from 10/18/18-10/21/18 a three day request.  On 10/21/18 driver calls into dispatch and states he needs an additional 2 days.

Create a new event showing the event as EXT and put the status to unapproved.  In the comments note that the driver extended home time for whatever reason and note that it is also unapproved.

If the driver does not give you a date they will return to work as standard practice set the date out 5 days and go back into the event once the driver returns to work to put the correct date in.

No Load Assignment

NLD event code will be used when a driver is ready but we are not.  Driver completed 3 day home time request and asked for a load.  Due to drivers location we have to broker freight to get him out of home time.  We have been unable to find a load.

Create a new driver status event.  In the event field put NLD for no load.  The status will be approved- as driver was ready to come out on time but we did not have an assignment for him.  Place the event dates beginning from the day the driver was supposed to come out of home time to the day we found them a load to get them running.

In the comments note unable to find load.
